The three boards
They are always 10×10, 15×15 and 20×20. The small one goes in a minute or two once you know what you are doing. The large one has four times as many squares and asks for a proper sitting.
Which three pictures they are comes from the month itself, the same way the daily puzzle comes from the date. Two people opening this page in the same month get the same three grids.
How the total works
Each board is timed on its own and the total is those three times added up. It only appears once all three are done, so a fast time on the 10×10 alone will not put a number on the board.
You can start a board over as often as you like. Only your fastest run at each one is kept, so nothing is lost by trying a size again.
When the month turns over
On the first of the month a new set of three appears and the old set closes. Whatever you finished stays in the table above, including the months where you only got one or two done.
